Talk about a build

Marketing intelligence · Powered by DigitalTreehouse

Stop guessing whether your marketing is working.

Ultimate Analytics answers the four questions your reporting probably does not: what you achieved, where you stand against the companies you lose deals to, why, and what to do next. Every answer carries its evidence.

  • No claim without a verbatim source
  • Absolute scoring, not flattering curves
  • Definitions written before numbers
  • Custom quoted after the first meeting

Competitive scorecard. Rows are companies, columns are the five scoring lenses. Each score is a button that opens the evidence behind it.

The problem

Marketing frustration is almost always a visibility problem.

It is rarely a lack of effort or a lack of data. It is that the data on hand cannot answer the questions leadership actually asks, so the meeting resolves on instinct and the budget renews unchanged.

  1. 01 You approve a marketing budget every month and cannot say what the last one produced.
  2. 02 Two reports disagree, and nobody can explain which definition each one used.
  3. 03 You find out a competitor launched a new service line from a customer, months late.
  4. 04 You suspect one channel carries the whole result, but the numbers will not settle it.

What you get

One instrument for performance, competition, and what to do next.

Four capabilities, built for your business rather than pulled from a template. Each one exists to answer a question a decision depends on.

Performance, defined and held constant

Every metric carries a written definition. Leads are deduplicated on contact identity, filtered for automated and internal traffic, and classified against one standard, so a trend means what it appears to mean.

Detail

Competitive standing, scored on evidence

You and the companies you lose deals to, scored on an absolute one to five scale across five lenses. Every score opens onto a verbatim quote, a source and a capture date.

Detail

Custom alerts on the moves that matter

New pages, rewritten positioning, fresh ad messaging, hiring velocity, new locations, new service lines. Threshold based, with the before and after attached.

ROI you can take to finance

Channel and lead economics reconciled to your CRM and accounting system, with the numerator, denominator, window, model and the stated unattributed share.

Competitive signals

Your competitors publish their strategy. Most companies never read it.

Job postings, page changes, campaign messaging, service line additions and locations are all public and dated. Monitored consistently, they arrive while the window to respond is still open.

How the competitive lane works
  • New or rewritten pages and rewritten positioning
  • New ad campaigns and changed messaging
  • Hiring velocity by role family and quarter
  • Team expansion and new leadership hires
  • New service lines and dropped offerings
  • New locations and service area changes
  • Content and publishing cadence, verified by direct sweep
  • Visibility on commercially scoped search terms
  • Reviews: volume, velocity and recurring themes
  • Pricing and packaging language shifts

Why the findings hold

Three controls, applied to every claim we deliver.

These are constraints on us, not features. They make the work slower, shorter and defensible in a room where somebody has an incentive to dispute the finding.

The grounding gate

No claim without a quote. Every scored claim carries verbatim evidence, a source and a capture date. This rules out plausible summary that no source supports, and inference presented as observation.

The parity gate

Equal depth across the set. Uneven research depth silently biases a comparison: the company that received the most attention scores best. Coverage is enforced to a comparable floor for every company scored.

Absence discipline

A tool returning nothing is not a finding. Claims of absence require a direct check of the source, labelled as such, with a stated confidence level. Missing data is reported as missing, not as zero.

How an engagement runs

Definitions first. Numbers second. Never the other way around.

  1. 01

    The first conversation

What you sell, who you lose deals to, and what you cannot currently see. No prepared pitch and no pricing, because nothing has been scoped yet.

  2. 02

    Access and definitions

We confirm which systems can be read, then write every metric definition before a single number is produced. You approve the definitions.

  3. 03

    Baseline and scorecard

A cleaned performance baseline plus your market scored on the absolute scale, with the evidence trail attached to every claim.

  4. 04

    Monitoring and review

Threshold alerts run continually. Performance is reported against the fixed definitions, and competitive standing is re-scored on a set interval.

The standard we build to

We did not invent evidence-based management. We enforce it.

Quotations below are from third-party authorities on measurement and strategy, cited to their source with their verification status printed. They are not endorsements of this service.

What gets measured gets managed, even when it is pointless to measure and manage it, and even if it harms the purpose of the organisation to do so.

Simon Caulkin Management writer The Guardian, 10 February 2008

In God we trust. All others must bring data.

W. Edwards Deming Statistician Commonly attributed

The essence of strategy is in the activities: choosing to perform activities differently or to perform different activities than rivals.

You keep the client relationship and the letterhead. You inherit the evidence standards, which is the part that protects your brand when a client disputes a finding.
